There is a thriving community of Crows that live year round in the area year round. American Crows have remarkable memories. Well over twenty years ago a large group would gather in my yard at sunrise loudly encouraging their young to forage. I'm afraid that I was not very tolerant and shot pine cones at them with a sling shot. They have avoided my yard since and it's only recently that one crow, who apparently dismissing his companion's opinion of me, began to use the birdbath to soak food he'd gathered. Not forgiven but at least tolerated.
