Varied Thrush

Varied Thrush show up as early September and remain through early spring. Some years they just pass through with only a sighting or two. The winter of 2011-2012 a family of three thrushes remained throughout the winter. The conditions in 2015 brought them into the yard in September. A pair visited periodically into 2016 and another pair arrived in October of 2017. 2018 brought the first pair in Mid-December with small flocks populating the area.
