Jack and Eloise Hamil

Below is a series of twelve letters from my father, Jack Hamil, to my mother, Eloise Graves. They begin in 1938 when they first met. The last letter is after they were married, Eloise was pregnant with Judy in Montana and Jack was in Portland going to school. This strikes me as being a voyeuristic but it does seem to be the best way I have to show who he was. This is also a one sided correspondence but it was Eloise who kept these. There is more information about the family in Ada Freese's family history letter to Judy that adds considerable background to these notes. Most letters are not dated so the order is figured roughly by the text.
